Lucrative Bonuses from Armed forces

Military maintains the All-volunteer force by providing benefits and salary given to active army personal. Army is always on the look out for professionals with invaluable skills. Like any employer it asks devotion, loyalty and work from the employee. Here is an overview of a few bonuses, benefits and discounts offered by the military.

The new army advantage fund is offered to make it competitive as an employer and bring quality youth in the military. The military is giving a lot of attention to ex army personnel and new graduates offering discount on housing and helping in business in return for recruitment.

Allocation and Process of providing benefits

The newly enlisted employees get the benefits after they have completed a certain period of service. An active army officer gets a maximum bonus of $40,000. The bonus amount can fluctuate with the period of enlistment and the job role one gets in the army. Professionals working as reservists for five years get a maximum of $20,000. The amount decreases for short term enlistment of three or four years.

Advantage of Re enlistments

There are advantages for soldiers who have reenlisted. The maximum bonus for re enlisted soldier has soared to $90,000. The regulations of the army change from time to time for the hard to find skills force.

Army has also introduced special training programs and attracts new recruits by offering them seasonal bonuses.

Bonuses for NPS (Non Prior Service) & Non NPS

The soldiers with non prior service are offered bonuses in the range of $1,000 to $4,000. There are many slots for which the skilled people are not available. Soldiers are trained and get the bonuses on joining the duty. Candidates with prior service are also given such bonuses after being chosen depending upon their capabilities.

Stipend for Home

Military offers housing allowance with periodic increase of 6.9 percent. The average of this basic housing allowance is around $95 per month per service member. The defense department is responsible for regulating this scheme.

The reserve force is also offered enlistment bonus. Again NPS candidates are offered enlistment bonus up to $20,000 while the PS candidates are offered bonuses up to $15,000. The enlistment term is for six years. A part of the bonus payment is initially paid up to $10000 and then paid in equal amounts subsequently.

HIGRAD and Quick-Ship bonuses

For successful candidates the military provides up to $8000 for college graduates and up to $20000 for maintaining skilled work force. The total bonuses limit is $40,000 for regular and $20,000 for reserve cadre. Therefore HIGRAD and Quick-Ship bonuses are offered in addition to the regular enlistment but should not exceed the total bonus limit.
