How to request a certificate of eligibility
On meeting all requirements for the military VA loan, a certificate of eligibility will be issued to you. There are two ways to get an eligibility certificate. An eligibility certificate can be requested in different ways. Your lender can get you this certificate by making a direct request. An SOS from your top commander and chief of the unit can also get you an eligibility certificate, this is for active duty members. This requires that you have never been discharged from your service.

I look forward to a VA home loan to enable me to afford the purchase of this home. Also to mention that I have never been discharged from the Army and have continually served for a period of ten years. I have a credit score of 985. Currently, me and my family are stationed at South shore town, Ohio. We are on military housing and would like the opportunity to purchase our own home.
I am writing this letter to ask you for assistance in obtaining the certificate of eligibility that I need to be able to pursue the VA home loan. I have attached all required documentation and paperwork with this letter. I would appreciate and like the application process to start as soon as possible.
