Payday loans although are not commonly opted by many of us, thinknig as its not a choice for military men. It was found out in a recent study that American military servicemen use three times the payday loan service than the average and ordinary citizen. This happens due to the remote nature of the military servicemen/women’s job and their low incomes that they stay highly in need of emergency funds or extra savings and thus they are left with no other option than to opt for a payday loan. This is the reason why the rate of payday loans issued by the military members is higher than a normal citizen.
Hence, in order to keep military servicemen from taking payday loans and from getting them into high interests and unfair practices, the government has enacted The John Warner National Defense Authorization Act for the Fiscal Year 2007.
Military Personnels are Made A Target By Payday Loans

The low income of the military members keeps them highly in need of emergency funds at all times. This fact is taken and treated as a weak point by the payday loan service companies. They are well aware of this and hence try to make profit out of their payday loans services by targeting the military servicemen. The low pays of the soldiers makes them easily manipulated and vulnerable to these traps by payday loan companies. Studies show that on an average, a new employee in the military service receives a salary of $1200 per month and so it is difficult for him to make any savings.
